Craig, the founder, spent four years in vocational woodworking school. After several years in the industry I moved to California, to explore new opportunities working in the entertainment events industry, working my way up to sales leadership positions.

Fast forward several years, my wife Hollie was offered an opportunity to relocate our family to the Seattle-area with Microsoft. This afforded me the opportunity to get back to my roots and start a custom furniture and cabinet making business.

Once I became established, I started purchasing woodworkers collection of wood that sometimes included a live edge slab or two which I would resell out of a rented heated storage locker. That’s when the idea of focusing just on live edge slabs became the spark to create Live Edge Hardwoods, LLC.
